The Zeekr 7X seeks to become Tesla Model Y’s main competitor in Europe. Kyle Connor of YouTube channel Out Of Spec recently took one for a test drive and was impressed with its rapid charge capability: from 10% up to 80% in less than nine minutes!
Geely’s SEA vast 800V platform powers the Zeekr 7X and it joins Geely’s European lineup including its sedan 001 and SUV X alongside other NEV vehicles from China in Zeekr’s European lineup as an indicator of China’s strength in this space.
The exterior
Designed specifically to meet the needs of families, the Zeekr 7X stands out as an electric five-seater SUV due to its longer length, wider width, and taller height. Offering superior headroom and legroom compared to rival models. It offers 616 liter boot capacity.
Zeekr’s proprietary 800 Volt electrical system architecture powers the Zeekr 7X with either a 75kWh or 100kWh battery pack for an estimated range of 480 km in WLTP mode. Both batteries feature new Golden Brick Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cells for superior energy density.
Dual Motor all-wheel drive provides power and precision on any terrain. Accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds! The interior
Geely’s Zeekr 7X SUV is constructed on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture 800V platform shared with its 007 sedan. Distinguished features of this car include its “Hidden Energy” design language. A prominent front headlight group forms an interactive LED display capable of showing messages or images.
The battery pack for the SUV is located under its chassis, lowering its center of gravity and creating more cabin and luggage space. Both long range (LFP cells) and performance models (NMC cells with higher energy density) come equipped with a Golden battery pack.
The 7X’s interior features premium NAPPA full-grain leather with 14 functions such as heating, cooling and six spa-grade massage settings crafted into its design. There are child smart safety seats as well as an emergency button to break windows in case of emergency – keeping everyone safe. Zeekr has stated the SUV will have a WLTP driving range of 615km and can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 13 minutes depending on which DC charger is being used.
